Sana'a - Saba:
Minister of Culture and Tourism, Dr. Ali Al-Yafie, and Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Engineer Mohammed Al-Mahdi, have agreed on the restoration and conservation of two thousand ancient manuscripts.
According to the agreement, the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology will bear the full costs of restoring these two thousand historical manuscripts.
Dr. Al-Yafie explained to the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) that this agreement is part of the ministry’s strategic plan to safeguard Yemen’s manuscript heritage from neglect, deterioration, and loss.
He emphasized that saving Yemen’s cultural and spiritual identity and preserving the nation's intellectual and human heritage—which some foreign entities aim to erase—is a collective national responsibility.
