Moscow - Saba:
Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov confirmed on Wednesday that relations between Russia and the United States are currently at their lowest level in history and that it is impossible for them to decline further.
Peskov considered, according to Novosti Agency, that it is practically impossible for relations between Moscow and Washington to deteriorate more than they are currently, and that what will happen later will depend on the actions of the next American leadership.
Peskov denied accusations regarding his country's interference in the American presidential elections and said: "We did not interfere, do not interfere, and will not interfere in anyone's internal affairs, and in this case we are very firm in defending our interests in terms of not interfering in our internal affairs."
Peskov believed that the United States can help end the conflict in Ukraine and that this matter will become clear after the inauguration of the new US president.
Commenting on the results of the American elections, the Russian Foreign Ministry confirmed in a statement that Moscow will work with the new US administration and will firmly defend Russian national interests.
The ministry said that Russia will focus on achieving the goals of the Russian special military operation, stressing that Moscow's conditions have not changed and are well known to Washington. Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump won the presidency of the 47th President of the United States with 277 electoral college votes.
