Occupied Quds - Saba:
Ten Zionist fans were injured in Amsterdam, last night, after they flocked to the Dutch capital to attend Maccabi Tel Aviv's match against Ajax Amsterdam in the Dutch Europa League.
Media outlets reported that ‘clashes broke out with (Israeli) fans after some of them tore the Palestinian flag, after the end of the match between the Dutch club (Ajax Amsterdam) and the (Maccabi Tel Aviv) club in the Europa League, which ended with the victory of the first by five goals to nil, on Thursday evening.’
Police in Amsterdam said they had ‘deployed additional forces in the capital after signs of tensions in several areas’.
Israel's foreign ministry said ten fans were injured and two others lost contact.
‘Citizens of Israel in Amsterdam should avoid travelling on the streets and stay in hotel rooms,’ Israel's National Security Council said.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu instructed the relevant authorities to send two planes to bring the Israelis home.
