Sana'a - Saba:
It seems that the international community, especially the United Nations Security Council, has so far lost its credibility and ability to prevent the Zionist entity's crimes and genocide against civilians in Gaza Strip and Lebanon, while Arab and Islamic inaction has encouraged the usurper entity to commit more daily massacres and genocide in the besieged Gaza Strip and Lebanon.
Many countries of the world, international and human rights organizations, and many sensible politicians around the world have called on the permanent members of the Security Council from the very beginning of the Zionist aggression on Gaza to take immediate action in order to prevent the development of events to the situation that exists today, but Western countries have deliberately turned a blind eye and remained silent about what is happening in Gaza, while Arab and Islamic positions rejecting the aggression have been absent.
In this context, Abdul Majid Awad, a leader of the Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas, emphasized that the Arab and Islamic failure to support Palestine and Lebanon encouraged the Zionist entity to continue its wide-scale aggression.
In press statements last night, Awad said: "We are not surprised by the official Arab position regarding the massacres committed by the enemy against both Palestine and Gaza, as it ended 30 years ago, and therefore we cannot talk about a unified Arab position."
"The Arab and Islamic failure of Palestine and Lebanon has encouraged the Zionist entity to continue its wide-scale aggression," he said.
He added: "One of the reasons that made the Zionist entity desecrate blood is related to its conviction to a large extent that there is no appropriate Arab response to the Zionist act."
He called on "the Arab regimes to take a set of measures and concrete and effective positions to support Lebanon and Gaza, most notably canceling all forms of normalization with the entity and expelling its ambassadors from the countries that have normalized with it, in addition to using the oil card to pressure Tel Aviv and the allies that support it."
International and human rights organizations have repeatedly stressed the need for these countries to assume their legal , political responsibility and submit to the Security Council a draft resolution under Article 7 of the UN Charter for an immediate and unconditional ceasefire, the opening of safe humanitarian corridors for the immediate delivery of vital aid, and an end to the Zionist usurper's use of starvation as a tool of war.
Since the start of the Zionist aggression, the administration of US President Joe Biden and Western countries have supported it with all their political, economic and military power, as well as with irresponsible political statements affirming the usurper entity's absolute right, unconditional on respect for international law, to defend itself, which encouraged the entity.
The continued irresponsible Western statements were reinforced by the dispatch of warships, while the Zionist enemy army began its barbaric aggression against Palestinian civilians, schools, hospitals and United Nations shelters in violation of all international laws, causing massive destruction of civilian infrastructure, massacres and horrific injuries among civilians, including children and women.
More seriously, this unconditional support did not diminish even after Zionist political and military leaders made public statements calling for the forced displacement of civilians from Gaza and threatening genocide against Palestinians, whom Zionist War Minister Yoav Gallant described as "human animals."
This Arab and Islamic reluctance to condemn inflammatory rhetoric that incites violence, extermination and dehumanization of Palestinians was a green light for the Zionist entity to continue its war crimes against Palestinian civilians in Gaza and the West Bank.
On the other hand, the Arab group did not take any initiative in the Human Rights Council, the Security Council or the UN General Assembly to pass a resolution or recommendation for a ceasefire or the opening of humanitarian relief corridors.
We have not witnessed an honorable Arab position by the Arab regimes to condemn the Zionist war crimes against children, women and the elderly in Gaza or South Lebanon, and the common denominator among these regimes is their constant pursuit of normalization with the Zionist entity.
Today, the children of Gaza, the children of the West Bank and the children of Lebanon are being killed, and the Arab states have not shown any position or action to prosecute the Zionist murderers and war criminals. On the contrary, we have witnessed a whitewashing of the facts and hostility to the resistance that is unparalleled in contemporary history, despite the fact that all Arab states have acceded to the 1949 Geneva Conventions without exception, which obligates states parties to prosecute war criminals (Article 146 of the Fourth Geneva Convention).
Since the beginning of the aggression against Gaza on October 7, Arab satellite and TV channels have been focusing on Palestinian and Lebanese discontent over the usefulness of the resistance, and some of them have sought to distort both the Palestinian and Lebanese resistance, Hamas, Islamic Jihad , Hezbollah, and portray them as a tool of Iran at a time when the situation seems to need the greatest amount of cohesion, steadfastness and standing united in the face of the aggression.
To put things in perspective, neither Lebanon nor the Palestinians in the resistance took this lax Arab media stance into account because they know in advance that this media, in its coverage of events, positions and comments, serves Zionist goals, works to weaken the steadfastness in the face of the Zionist enemy and seeks to establish a clear path to normalization with the usurping entity.
Militarily, the Zionist enemy army continues its barbaric ground military operation for the 29th day in Jabalia and Beit Lahia in the northern Gaza Strip, while Palestinian media reported that the Zionist enemy committed seven massacres against families in Gaza Strip, of which 55 martyrs and 192 injuries arrived in hospitals during the past 24 hours, raising the toll of the Zionist aggression to 43314 martyrs and 102019 injuries since October 7, 2023.
The Zionist enemy army also continues intensive bombing operations in Nuseirat camp for the third day, which resulted in the martyrdom of 45 citizens and the injury of 150 in two days, in addition to the destruction of 248 housing units, while the enemy army blew up residential buildings west of Nuseirat camp in Gaza Strip center .
In Lebanon, and coinciding with the stalled settlement efforts, the Zionist enemy army continues its raids on various Lebanese regions, leaving hundreds of martyrs , wounded and displacing tens of thousands.
