The Supreme National Commission for Combating Corruption, in its regular meeting headed by Vice President of the Commission, Redan Al-Mutawakel, approved the referral of (16) accused in serious corruption cases to the Public Funds Prosecution Office specialized in corruption cases to complete the procedures for initiating and filing a criminal lawsuit against them before the Public Funds and Anti-Corruption Court.
The corruption incidents in these cases were represented in seizing and facilitating the seizure of public money, forgery of official documents, exploitation of influence, and embezzlement of public money, as the amount of damage in these cases amounted to 236 million and 709 thousand riyals.
