The General Authority for Endowments, the Martyrs’ Families Care Authority, Dar Al-Ulum Al-Sharia University, and the Scholars Unit in Hodeida province on Tuesday organized a speech event to mark the annual anniversary of Martyrs' Day, honoring those who sacrificed their lives defending Yemen.
During the event, Director of the Endowments Authority Abdullah al-Shaim emphasized the enduring significance of the martyrs’ sacrifices in protecting the homeland.
He highlighted the importance of reflecting on this anniversary to inspire acts of generosity and giving, while also acknowledging the Yemeni people’s solidarity with the Palestinian cause.
Al-Shaim stressed the need to activate the spirit of jihad in light of the ongoing challenges facing the nation.
Rector of Dar Al-Ulum University Sheikh Mohammed Murai spoke of the pride and honor derived from the martyrs' sacrifices, particularly in the face of the American-Saudi-Emirati aggression. He paid tribute to the martyrs of Hodeida, including martyr President Saleh Al-Sammad, who gave their lives defending the nation’s sovereignty and stability.
Sheikh Ali Somal, head of the Scholars and Educators Unit, also addressed the gathering, stressing the significance of Martyrs' Day in commemorating the sacrifices made to protect Yemen and its people.
He reaffirmed the Yemeni people's unwavering support for the leadership of the revolution, as well as their commitment to the Palestinian cause and the broader axis of resistance, drawing inspiration from the Quranic teachings on steadfastness in the face of adversity.
