The Ministry of Finance and the Tax and Customs Authorities organized on Wednesday a speech event on the Martyr's Anniversary, and honored the families of the martyrs from the Ministry's office and its affiliated agencies.
In the event, Minister of Finance Abduljabbar Mohammed considered commemorating this anniversary the least duty towards the martyrs' giving and what they wrote of heroic epics in defending Yemen, its sovereignty and independence.
He pointed out the importance of this event to honor the families of the martyrs and their relatives from the Ministry of Finance's office and its affiliated agencies. He said, "These martyrs sacrificed their lives in order to defend the dignity of our country and so that we can live in security and stability."
He added, "The Yemeni people today live in pride and honor for their participation in the battle of the promised conquest and the holy jihad, in support of the Palestinian people and their just cause." He pointed out that the security and stability that Yemen enjoys today is the fruit of the sacrifices of the martyrs.
Minister Abduljabbar pointed out that Yemen has presented a constellation of martyrs, most notably the martyred President Saleh al-Samad, and other leaders who watered the soil of Yemen with their blood in defense of the homeland and its security and stability.
He said, "Yemen stands today proud and honorable among the peoples of the world, thanks to God and then thanks to the wise revolutionary leadership and the sacrifices of the martyrs, and it faces the forces of hegemony and global arrogance led by America, Britain and the Zionist entity, and humiliates them in the seas."
He stressed that the sacrifices of the Yemeni people over the past years have resulted in pride, dignity and victory over the colonial powers, their criminal alliance and their tools in the region. He added, "God's law requires patience to be followed by relief and victory over the enemies. We see the world around us suffering from crises and challenges, and the Yemeni people, with their patience, steadfastness and perseverance, will overcome all of that."
The Minister of Finance stated that the Yemeni people's standing with the Palestinian and Lebanese peoples in confronting the Zionist enemy comes from religious, moral and humanitarian responsibility.
He reiterated that the peoples of the nation have no choice but to confront and promote the culture of jihad and martyrdom, as it is a guarantee for the nation. He said, "When we carry the spirit of jihad and the culture of martyrdom, the nation will continue to face all dangers."

He considered this anniversary an incentive for everyone to continue on the path of pride and dignity in confronting the forces of global hegemony and arrogance led by America, Britain and the Zionist entity, and the crimes, genocide and destruction of infrastructure they are committing in Palestine and Lebanon.
