The House of Representatives, in its session held today under the chairmanship of the Speaker of the Council, Brother Yahya Ali Al-Ra'i, condemned the recent Zionist aggression on the city of Damascus, which targeted civilian headquarters and residential houses.
The President and members of the Council have mercy on the souls of the martyrs who rose in the Zionist aggression against Damascus and all the martyrs of the nation, considering this a crime and a violation of Arab sovereignty and international law. They also praised the resistance's response to the Zionist aggression and blessed its operations against the Israeli occupation.
The members of the Council stood a minute of mourning for the soul of Dr. Abdul Bari Abdullah Dughaish, who passed away after a busy career in the service of the country, praising his national role and honorable position, and considered his death a great loss for Yemen.
The Council praised the mass turnout in Sana'a and the governorates in solidarity with the Palestinian and Lebanese peoples and in support of the martyrs' approach.
After discussions, the Council voted unanimously to continue the current presidency for a future period, while stressing the importance of concerted efforts to face the challenges.
The members stressed the need to activate the role of the Council to serve citizens and commensurate with the requirements of the construction and change phase in light of the aggression and siege.
The Council reviewed and approved its agenda for the coming period, reviewing the minutes of its previous meeting.
