The Minister of Electricity, Energy, and Water, Dr. Ali Saif Mohammed, discussed with the Acting Governor of Taiz, Ahmed Amin Al-Masawi, the governorate's needs in the fields of electricity and water and the difficulties facing its institutions.
The meeting, which was attended by a number of officials, dealt with the provision of drinking water by supporting the wells of the affected areas, including the Al-Hawban area, through caravans to conserve water. They also discussed improving sanitation services and supporting emergency water projects, as well as equipping a 50 MW solar power plant project to alleviate the suffering of citizens.
The meeting stressed the importance of cooperation and integration of efforts to implement electricity and water projects and called on the minister to prepare a comprehensive study of priority projects to search for internal funds or through humanitarian partners.
