Member of the Supreme Political Council, Dr. Abdulaziz Saleh bin Habtoor, participated in a speech event organized by the Transport and Public Works Ministry , its agencies and institutions on Monday on the occasion of the annual martyr anniversary 1446 AH, in addition to an exhibition of photos of the ministry's martyrs.
At the event, the member of the Political Council pointed out the importance of holding such events within the framework of commemorating this anniversary in recognition of the sacrifices of the heroic martyrs, including those provided by this government sector, stressing that the martyrs of the homeland will remain immortal in the record and memory of the nation.
He explained that this occasion requires everyone to search the heroic record of these martyrs to inspire lessons and meanings of sacrifice, redemption and martyrdom.
Dr. Bin Habtoor explained that the Yemenis have sacrificed tens of thousands of martyrs over the past nine years, making the commemoration of this anniversary a source of pride for all.
"This is one of the stations where we commit ourselves to keep the annual martyr anniversary as part of our activities, work and programs throughout the year and to do what we can to take care of their children and families," he added.
He stressed that the Political Council highly appreciates all the efforts made by all institutions and agencies that work to take care of the martyrs' families, as well as the file of the wounded who sacrificed their lives for the glory and elevation of Yemen.
The Supreme Political Member pointed out that coinciding with our people's commemoration of the annual martyr anniversary, dozens and hundreds of martyrs of our brothers in the Gaza Strip, South Lebanon and the southern suburbs of Beirut rise daily as part of the war of annihilation carried out by the Zionist enemy with the blessing and active participation of American and European Zionism.
He considered the current confrontation with the Zionist enemy and the size of the sacrifices made by the Palestinian and Lebanese peoples, including their senior leaders, as a stage of liberation from the usurping Zionist enemy.
For his part, Transport and Public Works Minister Mohammed Ayyash Qahim stressed the importance of commemorating the martyr anniversary because of the great status associated with the martyrs who sacrificed in defense of religion and the homeland, marking the greatest heroism and epics in the face of aggression.
"The culture of jihad that was revived by the martyr leader Sayyed Hussein Badr al-Din al-Houthi has resulted in pride, honor and victory for the Yemenis," he said.
Minister Qahim pointed out that the martyrs created glory and freedom for Yemen and thwarted the plans of the aggression. He reiterated the pledge to honor the martyrs and follow their path in confronting the forces of aggression, triumphing over the right and confronting falsehood.
He touched on the great sacrifices made by the Palestinian and Lebanese people in the fateful confrontation with the Israeli enemy and the great results achieved by the mujahideen in Gaza and southern Lebanon.
The Transport and Works Minister praised the qualitative operations carried out by the Yemeni armed forces in the depths of the enemy, the latest of which was the targeting of a number of military and vital targets of the Israeli enemy in the Jaffa and Ashkelon regions in occupied Palestine.
At the event, which was attended by Health and Environment Minister Dr. Ali Shiban, Deputy Minister of Transport and Works Yahya Al-Sayani, President of the Public Authority for Martyrs' Families Welfare Taha Jaran, and Fadl Al-Sammad, son of martyred President Saleh Al-Sammad, Vice President of the Public Authority for Martyrs' Families Welfare Abdul Salam Al-Talibi stressed the importance of commemorating this precious occasion for the Yemenis.
He pointed out that thanks to the sacrifices of the martyrs, Yemen has a strong presence that has reached direct confrontation with America and the Zionist enemy in support of the Palestinian and Lebanese peoples.
Al-Mutawakkil Al-Junaid, in the speech of the families of the martyrs, explained that the blood of the martyrs resulted in victory and glory for the homeland. He pointed out that the martyrs sacrificed their pure souls to defend the homeland and to keep it steadfast and strong.
He emphasized continuing on the martyrs' path in confronting the aggression against and supporting the Palestinian and Lebanese people.
