A meeting of Ibb University, chaired by Governor Abdul Wahid Salah, discussed on Monday the mechanisms of establishing an information technology and digital transformation center at the university.
The meeting, which included Provincial Secretary General Amin Al-Warafi, University President Dr. Nasr Al-Hujaili and his deputies, the University Secretary General, and Deputy Governor Mohammed Al-Qasim, reviewed the general objectives of the center, which include developing the physical and software IT infrastructure, enhancing cybersecurity, and encouraging innovation and creativity.
The president of Ibb University explained that the center will work to develop digital transformation strategies to raise the efficiency of performance in the educational and administrative aspects, and keep pace with the latest technologies used in the fields of higher education.
He pointed out that the Center for Information Technology and Digital Transformation will have a significant impact in supporting the use of technology in university activities, improving academic and administrative performance, developing technical infrastructure, implementing advanced information management systems, providing technical support and training for faculty members and students, collecting and analyzing data to support decision-making, conducting specialized research and supporting innovation in information technology.
