Baqaee: Zionist entity does not believe in principles of United Nations and is not appropriate to be present in international forums

Tehran-Saba:

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baqaee stressed that the Zionist entity, which does not believe in the principles of the United Nations, is not appropriate to be present in international forums.

In his weekly press conference on Monday, regarding the nuclear threats launched by the Zionist entity against Iran, Baqaee said that Resolution 533, which prohibits any threat or use of force against Iran's nuclear facilities, stipulates that the UN Security Council is required to intervene immediately against these threats.

He added that legally in these cases, the UN Security Council must take a decisive position, but politically, the whole region is aware of the Zionist entity's illegal approach.

In response to a question about the withdrawal of the Zionist entity's membership in the United Nations, Baqaee considered that the Zionist entity, which does not believe in the principles and objectives of the United Nations and in peaceful living in the international community, and whose presence meant aggression against peoples, is not worthy of being present in international forums.

He added that at the level of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, initiatives have begun to oppose the presence of the Zionist entity in international forums, and this also indicates that the international community has reached the conclusion that this entity is not appropriate to be present in international forums.

He demanded that the UN human rights rapporteur and states collectively withdraw the membership of the Zionist entity in the United Nations. By the same token, the presence of this entity in international forums where international issues and problems are supposed to be discussed is not necessary, and we welcome the joining of other countries in this campaign.
