Beirut - Saba:
The US envoy, Amos Hochstein, on Tuesday arrived in the Lebanese capital, before his trip to Tel Aviv, to discuss a ceasefire deal between Hezbollah and Israel, the Lebanese national news agency said.
The Lebanese response to the US paper was positive, the Lebanese caretaking prime minister said, noting that some points still need to be discussed.
Beirut is committed to the application of UNSC Resolution 1701, Najeeb Miqati added, denying any knowledge about a term securing free movement of the occupier inside Lebanon.
Lebanon submitted its response to the US ambassador to Beirut, assistant speaker of the Parliament, Ali Hassan Khalil, said, as Hochstein arrived in Beirut for further discussions.
