The branch of the General Authority for the Care of the Families of Martyrs in Hodeida province launched on Saturday the economic empowerment project for the families of martyrs and missing persons in Jabal Ras district.
The project aims to support, train and rehabilitate 27 families of martyrs and missing persons in the field of livestock, beekeeping, sewing, and marketing guidance units, at an amount of 26 million riyals.
Project director Mustafa al-Sharafi explained that the economic empowerment project includes two tracks of rehabilitation and training of the targeted cases in the fields of beekeeping and livestock for six days, and sewing and tailoring for two weeks.
District director Mutahhar al-Nour appreciated the efforts of the branch of the Authority for the Care of the Families of Martyrs in supporting the families of martyrs and missing persons, and enabling them to work and produce through these small and useful projects.
For his part, representative of the families of martyrs in the district Abdo Daoud confirmed that the launch of the project and the training of the beneficiaries coincides with the commemoration of the annual anniversary of the martyr.
He indicated that at the end of the training, the targeted women will be given sewing tools, machines, livestock and bees to enable them to work and produce.
