At least 16 people were martyred, and others were injured as a result of a series of attacks carried out by Israeli warplanes on various Lebanese areas in the past hours.
The National News Agency reported that Israeli aggression intensified against villages in the Tyre and Bint Jbeil districts from last night until this morning. Drone strikes targeted the town of Tura, hitting two motorcycles and resulting in the martyrdom of two individuals. Concurrently, Israeli forces conducted intense bombing operations in Al-Khiam, Shamaa, and Tyre Harfa, with explosions heard in neighboring towns.
The bombardment also targeted the towns of Al-Khiam, Burj Al-Muluk, Deir Mimas, Hadatha, Zawtar Al-Gharbiya, Deir Siryan, Marjayoun, Kafr Tibnit, and Anqoun, leading to the martyrdom of three people and injuring five others.
Israeli airstrikes hit the towns of Roumine, Deir Siryan, Zefta, Deir Al-Zahrani, Zawtar Al-Gharbiya, Kawthariyat Al-Siyyad, Ansar, Harsh Kafr Tibnit (three times), Al-Ghaziya, Zebdin, Ain Qana, Yahmour Al-Shaqif, Kafr Maliki, Houmine Al-Tahta, Kafrwa, and Al-Qatrani, resulting in the death of one person and injuring several civilians.
The Israeli enemy also carried out four airstrikes on Beirut's southern suburbs, targeting a building near the Lebanese University, where five paramedics from the Islamic Health Society were martyred in Deir Qanoun.
Additionally, the aggression struck the towns of Al-Majadel, Al-Sma’iya, Shamaa, Tyre Harfa, Al-Dhahira, Al-Jibeen, and areas around Deir Qanoun Ras Al-Ain. Heavy reconnaissance and combat drone activity was reported over villages in Tyre and Bint Jbeil districts, accompanied by illumination bombs deployed over the western and central sectors, reaching the Litani River and the coastal areas. In Bint Jbeil, drones and illumination bombs dominated the skies.
The National News Agency noted that the road between Nabatiyeh and Marjayoun, specifically in the Al-Khardali area, was completely cut off due to an Israeli airstrike at 4:30 a.m., striking the same site as a previous attack.
In a tragic escalation, Israeli forces committed a massacre early this morning by completely demolishing a residential building in the Al-Basta area in the heart of Beirut. The attack resulted in the martyrdom of 11 people and injuries to 63 others. The death toll is expected to rise as rescue operations continue to recover victims from the rubble.
