The Capital Municipality Traffic Department, in cooperation with the Works Office and the Capital's Cleanliness and Improvement Fund, carried out today a field campaign to remove slums and causes of traffic congestion on public streets.
The campaign aimed to remove stalls and street vendor carts and transport them to the designated places, remove random appearances, rickety cars, and scrap from the streets, and organize longitudinal parking in the streets of Jadr, Al-Safiya, and Round 45.
The Director of Traffic of the Capital Municipality, Colonel Najib Al-Asadi, explained that the campaign comes based on the general guidelines issued by the Traffic Police Command with the aim of enhancing traffic discipline and stabilizing longitudinal parking to make our roads safer for their users.
For his part, the Director of the Facilities and Markets Department at the Municipality, Zakir Al Ameri, called on all citizens to cooperate with the efforts of the campaign teams to ensure the achievement of the desired goals, highlight the aesthetic appearance, and facilitate traffic movement on the streets of the capital.
