The Russian Ministry of Defense announced today, Monday, that Russian air defense systems destroyed 23 Ukrainian drones last night over the territories of several Russian provinces.
"Last night, attempts by the Kiev regime to carry out terrorist attacks using drones against targets on Russian territory were stopped," Sputnik Agency quoted the ministry as saying in a statement.
"The air defense systems on duty destroyed 23 Ukrainian drones, 8 of which were destroyed over the territory of Kaluga Province, 7 over the territory of Kursk Province, 5 over the territory of Bryansk Province, and 3 over the territory of Belgorod Province," the statement added.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces are targeting, almost daily, the Russian border areas in Crimea and the Belgorod, Bryansk, Kursk and Voronezh regions with drones and missiles, with the aim of sowing terror among civilians.
