Dr. Radwan al-Rubai, Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Water Resources, and Eng. Taha Zabarah, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology for Technical Affairs, met on Tuesday to discuss the aspects of cooperation between their ministries, focusing on the field of automation.
The meeting reviewed the progress made in automating services offered by the Ministry of Agriculture across various sectors, including production, marketing, prevention, animal health, guidance, public service, and secretarial tasks.
The discussion highlighted the efforts to modernize operations through automation, networking, and the integration of modern electronic systems, as well as the ongoing steps to provide data, improve information flow, and move towards digital electronic trading within the Ministry of Agriculture.
Both sides emphasized the importance of leveraging available expertise and technologies to strengthen the infrastructure and align programs that support marketing, statistical data, and information for the agricultural sector.
