A first aid course concluded on Thursday in al-Hawak district of Hodeida province organized by the School Health Department of the Education Department in the district.
The three-day course aimed to enhance the skills and knowledge of 38 school health supervisors in the district’s schools, equipping them to provide emergency medical services to students in case of illness or injury.
At the conclusion of the course, district director Juma'i Salem praised the organization of the training, emphasizing its importance in raising health awareness in schools, improving care for students, and ensuring that supervisors are prepared to handle emergency situations effectively.
Abdulmajeed al-Shamiri, head of the School Health Department, stated that the course is part of ongoing efforts to enhance the capabilities and skills of school health teams.
He highlighted the importance of equipping these supervisors with the necessary knowledge to provide first aid to students, especially in cases of sports injuries or other emergencies.
