The Parliament, in its session on on Monday reviewed two important reports. The first report was presented by the joint committee of the Justice and Endowments Committees and the Codification of Islamic Sharia Provisions, detailing the achievements of the General Authority of Endowments in relation to the national vision for building the modern Yemeni state.
The report highlighted the authority's investments, evaluation and correction of inhabited areas, preservation of manuscripts, and various charitable activities such as support for the poor, care for scholars and teachers, and legal developments related to endowments.
It also covered media outreach, publications, and documentation of endowment-related matters.
The Parliament decided to postpone further discussion of the report to a future session with the presence of the relevant government officials.
The second report presented was from the Special Committee on the draft law concerning medicine and pharmacy. After a preliminary discussion, the Council also postponed its review of this report to a future session with relevant government representatives.
The session concluded with the approval of the minutes from the previous meeting, and the Parliament will continue its business sessions the following day, December 3, 2024.
