Ibb - Saba:

The destruction process was carried out in the presence of members of the joint committee from the post, customs, representatives of the prosecution of violations, health, agriculture and security services, using mechanisms , means to get rid of 179 postal parcels that constitute a burden , environmental and health pollution that affects the health and safety of employees.
The committee formed by Customs and the General Postal Authority attributed the reasons that led to the implementation of these measures to the aggression against Yemen, the bombing of airports and their closure from the beginning of March 26, 2015, the ongoing blockade until today, and the fact that the aggressor countries do not allow the postal service to transport postal parcels via airlines after allowing humanitarian flights to do so.
It pointed to the persistent attempts with the Jordanian, Egyptian and Omani postal administration to accept the closed international mediation of the Yemeni post to no avail, and the failure of the brothers to respond to the humanitarian appeals, in order to serve the resident and the Yemeni citizen at house and abroad when the airport is allowed to open for humanitarian flights in 2022.
According to the committee, one of the reasons for the destruction of the parcels is the failure of the Universal Postal Union to play its role in forcing the aggression countries to break the blockade and allow the entry , exit of Yemeni postal mail to and from the world, as Yemen Post is one of its members.
