The first deputy governor of Al-Hodeida province, Ahmed Al-Bishri, inaugurated on Tuesday the second phase of the maintenance and rehabilitation project of Martyr Al-Samad Street in Al-Hodeida city, with local funding.
The second phase of the project, costing more than 598 million riyals and implemented by the Executive Unit for Projects and Maintenance in the province under the supervision of the Works Sector, aims to maintain and rehabilitate the street with a length of 1,300 meters, starting from the intersection of Al-Mina Street to the entrance to Al-Bayda area.
Al-Bishri, along with the province Undersecretary for Al-Hodeida City Square Affairs, Ali Al-Kabari, reviewed the progress of work on the project and the mechanisms of preparation for the implementation of the second phase , the nature and number of equipment that began to complete the asphalting of the street, especially between Al-Subayyat and the sidewalk.
The First Deputy Governor emphasized the importance of adhering to the specifications for the implementation of the second phase of the project according to the approved study that was agreed upon, in order to ensure the completion of the project and the implementation of the street maintenance works in the required manner
He stressed that the implementation of this project, according to certain stages, comes within the priorities of the provincial leadership, which sought to mobilize financial resources for the maintenance and restoration of the street as one of the streets that reflect the aesthetic and civilized appearance of the city of Hodeidah.
For his part, Al-Kabari praised the efforts of the Executive Unit for Projects and Maintenance and its role in implementing service , development projects, including roads and city improvement projects, stressing the local authority's interest in projects to improve Al-Hodeida city as a tourist destination on the Red Sea coast.
