The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning expects cold to very cold weather in a number of governorates during the next 24 hours.
According to the weather bulletin issued by the center, cold to very cold weather is expected in the governorates of Saada, Amran, Sana'a, Dhamar and Al Bayda with the possibility of frost (thaw) forming in scattered parts of them.
The weather is likely to be cold in the highlands of the governorates of Al Dhale'e, Ibb, Taiz, Lahj, Abyan, Shabwa and the deserts of the governorates of Hadhramaut, Marib and Al Jawf.
The center reported that the lowest temperatures recorded in some meteorological stations this morning were 1.8 in Dhamar, 3.4 in Amran, 3.9 in Sana'a, 4 in Al Bayda, and 7 in Ibb.
It called on citizens, especially the elderly, children, patients, and workers during the late night and early morning hours, to take the necessary measures to protect themselves from the cold and very cold weather.
It urged farmers to take the necessary precautions and follow agricultural instructions to protect their crops from the effects of the severe cold, as well as livestock herders, beekeepers, and poultry farmers.
