Directors of the General Authority for Water Resources in the capital Sana'a Eng. Mustafa al-Shahari and Bani Matar district Yahya al-Qanous visited on Wednesday al-Mahadin Caravan site in al-Qallad area of Bani Matar to assess the progress of the project.
The caravan, designed to collect 25,000 cubic meters of water, is 80 meters long, 40 meters wide, and 4 meters deep.
During the visit, they discussed challenges hindering its completion with supervising engineers and the project implementer.
Al-Shahari emphasized the importance of the project for enhancing groundwater resources and supporting local farmers.
Both officials stressed the need to complete the project on time and in accordance with technical specifications.
