One person was killed and another injured in a small plane crash on a highway in Westchester County, New York, on Thursday evening.
The accident closed traffic on Highway 684 in Harrison, about 40 kilometers northeast of Manhattan, at around 7 pm.
A video clip from the accident site showed the damaged white plane parked next to a barrier in the middle of the road, with ambulances blocking all traffic lanes.
The TECNAM P2008, which took off from Linden, New Jersey, reported engine problems before crashing. It was at an altitude of 3,150 feet before it crashed.
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) are investigating the incident.
