Ministry of Youth, Sports team puts foot in second round of companies' championship

The Ministry of Youth and Sports team has put a foot in the second round of the eighth companies' championship for seven-a-side football, organized by the Sports Federation of Companies under the auspices of the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the support of Yemen Mobile Company.

The Ministry of Youth team took the lead in Group Three after defeating its competitor, the Yemen International Bank team, by five goals to two in the group summit match on the final day of the fourth round of the championship.

For the Ministry of Youth and Sports team, players Mohammed Jamal al-Khawlani scored two goals in minutes (2, 41), Issam al-Dhabhani scored a goal in minute (28) and Jalal al-Qat'a scored a goal in minute (50), and the bank player Ibrahim al-Tuwaiti scored an own goal against his team in minute (6), while for the Yemen International Bank, players Abdullah al-Hakimi scored in minute (34) and Yassin al-Sarouri scored in minute (46).

In the other match of the same group, and the last match of the fourth round today, the Attorney General's Office team achieved its first victory in the tournament competitions when it heavily defeated the Communications 2 team with six goals to one.

The six goals of the Attorney General's Office team were scored by its players Fath al-Rahman al-Mahdi (two goals, 5th, 30th minute), Ahmed al-Radmi (two goals, 28th, 34th minute), Haroun al-Farah (10th minute), and Ghailan al-Shaibani (27th minute), while the only goal for Communications 2 was scored by its player Ali Aa-Tuqi (16th minute).

With these two results, the Ministry of Youth team raised its score to 9 points in first place in Group Three, followed by the International Bank of Yemen in second place with six points and a goal difference from the Central Bank in third place, while the Attorney General's team placed the first three points in its score, occupying fourth place, and the Communications Corporation 2 team came in last with no points.

The final round of the group stage will be held late next week.
