Foreign Minister Jamal Amer met on Sunday with Governor of Dhamar Mohammed al-Bukhaiti in the presence of Abdullah al-Dailami, Executive Director of the Social Fund for Development.
The meeting focused on the progress of ongoing projects in Dhamar, as well as challenges facing stalled initiatives funded by the United Nations and international organizations.
Minister Amer emphasized the importance of maintaining the independence and neutrality of the Social Fund for Development, urging that it be kept away from political disputes.
He highlighted the fund’s role as a developmental institution working impartially across all province s.
The minister commended the leadership in Dhamar for their efforts to support developmental projects, particularly those aimed at empowering farmers and promoting self-sufficiency, which contribute to sustainable development.
Governor al-Bukhaiti outlined the province’s alignment with the state’s broader strategy to support the agricultural and livestock sectors. He explained that the projects implemented in Dhamar are closely tied to the agricultural economic cycle, including grain production, local manufacturing of animal feed and organic fertilizers, and providing support to farmers in these fields.
