South Korean Foreign Minister, Jo Tae-yeol, confirmed today, Wednesday, his country's readiness to respond firmly to any provocations from the northern neighbor based on its strong alliance with the United States of America.
The South Korean Foreign Minister said, in a press conference, that "South Korea will make sure that it has plans to deal with the next US administration under the leadership of President-elect Donald Trump, in the event that the stalled nuclear talks with North Korea resume."
Jo added: "We will prepare plans and roadmaps before the next US administration takes office, which will help us prepare for the possibility of US negotiations with North Korea."
He stressed that "South Korea will manage the affairs of the Korean Peninsula in a stable manner, while remaining ready as we always do to respond firmly in the event of North Korea's provocations."
