The Ministers of Health and Environment, Dr. Ali Shaiban, Social Affairs and Labor, Samir Bajaala, and Economy, Industry and Investment, Eng. Moeen Al-Mahqri, inaugurated today in Sana'a the Al-Amal Oncology Hospital affiliated with the National Cancer Control Foundation.
The ministers inspected the hospital's departments, including the inpatient departments (men, women, and children), the organizational treatment unit, intensive care, surgical operations, clinics, laboratory, pharmacy, and radiology department.
Dr. Shaiban praised the completion of the project and the role of community participation and businessmen in achieving it, stressing the importance of strengthening this partnership to establish similar projects in other governorates. He called for supporting efforts to establish specialized medical centers to alleviate the suffering of cancer patients.
Samir Bajaala praised the efforts of the private sector and businessmen in providing health and social care, expressing his hope that Al-Amal Hospital would be a model to be emulated.
Eng. Al-Mahqri stressed the importance of community initiatives and supporting the private sector, noting that the investment law provides incentives for establishing specialized centers for treating diseases.
Hassan Al-Kabous confirmed that the National Cancer Control Foundation has continued to provide medical and social services to patients for 20 years, with its commitment to facing the challenges of the disease and the costs of its treatment.
The ministers visited the Hayat Center for Early Cancer Detection and were briefed on the shelter and awareness services provided by the National Cancer Control Foundation.
