The local authority in the Capital Secretariat and the Bunyan Development Foundation concluded on Saturday a training course in the field of development work for the Development Knights in Maeen District as part of the Volunteer Support Program.
The course, which was organized over ten days with funding from the Secretariat's Agricultural and Fisheries Projects and Initiatives Financing Unit, taught 18 participants the basics of voluntary work, development, development resources, community initiatives and urban development.
At the conclusion of the course, the head of the Social Affairs Committee in the Capital Secretariat, Hamoud Al-Naqib, praised the efforts exerted in organizing such courses with the aim of finding the appropriate cadre to implement community voluntary initiatives that benefit the members of the community.
Abdulmalik Al-Radi, Director of Maeen District, praised the role of Bunyan Academy and Foundation in training and qualifying development knights to become influential development leaders and contribute to achieving sustainable development, by enhancing their capabilities and developing their skills in various fields related to development.
Nasser Al-Kahli, Director of the Social Affairs and Labor Office in the Secretariat, and Zaid Al-Qulaisi, Director of the Projects Department in the Secretariat's Agricultural Unit, explained the importance of voluntary work in motivating society to advance and achieve development by utilizing available capabilities , capacities , implementing community service and development initiatives.
