Sana'a - Saba:
The General Secretariat of the Yemeni Basketball Federation announced the postponement of the Republic Youth Championship "Born in 2005" for first-class clubs to January 25, after it was scheduled to start on December 22. The postponement includes the tournament period from January 25 to 31 in the capital, Sana'a.
The decision to postpone came because the previous date conflicted with the general league program for men's first-division clubs. The tournament will be held during the break between the second and third stages of the men's league.
The participating teams were divided into two groups: - Group A: Shaab Hadramawt, Ahli Sana'a, Seiyun, and Shamsan. - Group II: Al-Mina, Sana'a Unit, Al-Barq, and Al-Hilal.
The teams of each group compete in a single-round league system, and the first and second of each group qualify for the semi-finals with a "scissors" system, to determine the two teams that qualify for the final match.
