Sana'a - Saba:
The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning expects cold and very cold weather in a number of governorates during the next 24 hours.
The center stated in its weather bulletin that very cold weather is expected in the governorates of Al-Bayda, Dhamar, Sana'a, Amran and Sa'dah and parts of the Ibb highlands, with the possibility of frost forming in parts of them.
The weather is likely to be cold in western Al-Jawf and southern Marib and the plateaus and deserts of Shabwa, Hadramout and Al-Mahra and the highlands of Al-Dhale'e, Lahj and Abyan, while it is relatively cold to cold in the highlands of Hajjah, Al-Mahwit, Raymah and Taiz.
The center reported that the lowest temperatures recorded at some meteorological stations this morning were as follows: Dhamar (Rasaba): -00.7, Amran: 00.0, Al Bayda (Dhi Na'im): 01.5, Sana'a: 2.5, Sayoun: 04.3, Ibb: 06.7, Ataq: 08.8, Hajjah: 9.0, Al Jawf: 9.5, Taiz: 9.8 degrees Celsius.
The center warned citizens in the highlands, interior plateaus and deserts of cold and very cold weather during the night and early morning hours.
It called on farmers to take the necessary measures to protect crops from the effects of severe cold, as well as livestock herders, beekeepers and poultry farmers to protect them from cold and very cold weather.
