The Governor of Hodeidah, Abdullah Abdo Atifi, made an inspection tour of the second phase of the maintenance project of Al-Shaheed Al-Samad Street in Hodeidah City, which is being implemented by the Executive Unit for Projects and Maintenance under the supervision of the Works Sector.
The project extends over 1300 meters from the intersection of Al Mina Street to the entrance to the Al Bayda area for 598 million riyals with local funding.
The second phase includes concrete paving, completion of asphalt, concrete pourings, and pavements for sidewalks and islands, as well as the installation of tiles and the extension of service pipes.
Governor Atifi stressed the importance of adhering to the quality and timelines for completing the project because of its importance in improving the drainage of floodwaters and damaged infrastructure, and stressed the local authority's interest in road and service projects to enhance the civilized appearance of Hodeidah city as a tourist destination on the Red Sea coast.
