A meeting , chaired by Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources Dr. Radwan Al-Rabaei, discussed on Monday the working mechanism of the merger committee to ensure the implementation of the ministry's plans and enhance the integrated management of agricultural, water and fisheries resources.
At the meeting, which included the head and members of the committee, Minister Al-Rabaei emphasized the importance of this step, which aims to enhance the efficiency of institutional work and unify strategic visions.
He praised the role of the merger committee, which will directly contribute to developing policies and strategies to meet the needs of the next stage. He urged to facilitate the work of the committee to enable it to obtain the necessary data and information to implement its work program.
Minister Al-Rabaie pointed out the importance of everyone assuming responsibility in achieving sustainable development and enhancing the ministry's role in achieving food security and the sustainability of natural resources.
He stressed that the work will include restructuring the sectors and defining the exact competencies to ensure smooth performance and achieve the desired results, as the committee will work on preparing operational plans that include training and qualification programs for cadres and activating field monitoring to evaluate performance.
