Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism Abdullah Al-Washli inspected on Monday the workflow at the Public Authority for the Preservation of Historic Cities.
During the visit, the Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism met with the Authority's leaders and employees, and a handover took place between the Authority's predecessor, Wadih Jahaf, who was attended on his behalf by the Undersecretary of Technical Affairs, Engineer Rashad Al-Maqtari, and the Authority's successor, Abdulwahab Al-Mahdi.
Deputy Minister Al-Washli expressed hope to cooperate with the head of the Authority, Al-Mahdi, and succeed in his future tasks, as well as create a positive atmosphere and climate for work in order to achieve the desired ambitions and hopes. He praised the role of the Commission and its efforts to preserve the country's historic cities, despite the continued blockade and aggression.
He expressed his hope that the changes will contribute to achieving more successes, that everyone understands the meanings , connotations of change, construction in maintaining the institutional , organizational structure of state institutions and achieving tangible successes in terms of state building.
Al-Washli listened to the concerns of employees and the challenges facing their activities. He emphasized the ministry's keenness to find appropriate remedies.
He urged concerted efforts to improve services and continue to complete the process of preserving the architectural heritage of historic cities.
