Taiz Governorate witnessed the graduation of 60 participants from "Knights of Development" in the districts of Jabal Habashy, Salh, Sama, and As Silw, as part of efforts to enhance community participation, institutional building, and the establishment of multi-purpose agricultural cooperative societies.
The ceremony was organized by the Bonyan Foundation and Academy funded by the Agricultural Finance Unit, where the Acting Governor Ahmed Amin Al-Masawi stressed the importance of qualifying the development knights to enhance the developmental and service role, praising Yemen's agricultural richness and topography that allows the cultivation of various crops.
The governorate's Undersecretary for Development Affairs, Abdul Wasa Al-Shamsi, pointed to the role of the project in achieving the vision of the martyr President Al-Samad "a hand that protects and a hand that builds", to reduce the import bill and enhancing food security.
The Director of the Agricultural Sector, Eng. Abdullah Al-Jundi, stressed the importance of sustainable development in facing the current challenges, pointing to Yemen's achievements in agricultural industrialization despite the war conditions.
