The seventh conference of the Military Heart Center was held in Sana'a under the auspices of the Ministry of Defense and the Presidency of the General Staff, to discuss the latest developments in the diagnosis, treatment, and surgery of heart diseases.
The conference was attended by several officials, including a member of the Supreme Political Council, Mohammed Ali al-Houthi, who called for the establishment of a fund to support heart patients and projects such as a factory for the production of tissues and tissue valves.
The participants' speeches emphasized the importance of enhancing medical knowledge, benefiting from international expertise, and achieving self-sufficiency in the production of medical equipment. The conference included the presentation of scientific research and workshops that included the implantation of valves through catheters for the first time in Yemen, methods of cardiac resuscitation, and the use of ventilators.
It also noted the successes of the Military Heart Center by conducting thousands of advanced operations with the latest technology. The conference stressed the need to strengthen local cadres to face the challenges of heart disease, with a focus on advanced scientific training to keep pace with global developments.
