The public prosecution in Dhamar province approved the release of 114 prisoners, in implementation of the directives of the Attorney General and the prosecution's plan to inspect prisons and follow up on prisoners' cases.
The head of the province's appeal prosecution, Judge Anan Shua'i, explained to the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) that these decisions were made during the field visits of the head and prosecutors of the East and West prosecutions, traffic and public funds, the central prison, Dhoran crossing and Dhoran, to the reformatory, remand , prosecution reservations in the judicial complex in Dhamar city, Al-Wahda police station, and the districts of Dhoran and Maaber, as well as the visit of the prosecutors of the districts of Sab, Atma, Damt, Jebn and Jabal Al-Sharq to the detention centers by the police and security yesterday and today, he said.
Judge Shua'i appreciated the interest and keenness of the Attorney General to improve the performance of the prosecution and fulfill the tasks entrusted to it in defending rights , freedoms, protecting society and achieving effective justice.
He pointed to the efforts exerted by members of the prosecution in investigating , handling cases and following up on them before the courts, as well as coordinating and cooperating with the security services to ensure the safety of crime control procedures and prevent impunity for perpetrators.
