Sana'a-Saba:

First Deputy Prime Minister Mohammed Muftah and Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources Dr. Radwan Al-Rubai inaugurated three rainwater harvesting projects in Bani Matar district in Sana'a governorate, at a total cost of 75 million riyals.

These projects aim to provide water for the agricultural process, enhance groundwater reserves in the Sana'a Basin, and support the expansion of crop cultivation, especially almonds and cereals.

Scholar Muftah stressed the importance of projects in promoting agricultural production and encouraging farmers to make the best use of them with a focus on fruitful crops.

For his part, the minister pointed out that these projects come within the directives of the Leader of the Revolution to support water facilities, as they were implemented through the National Irrigation Program, which includes 38 irrigation projects in Sanaa.

The projects that have been inaugurated include supporting farmers with irrigation networks and constructing three rainwater harvesting tanks.

Officials called on farmers to preserve projects and ensure equitable distribution of water, praising the role of community initiatives and local associations such as the Kharbat Mahib Association in the implementation of these projects, which contribute to promoting self-sufficiency.
