The teams of "CAC Bank" and "Bank of Bahrain" qualified for the semi-finals of the eighth corporate football tournament organized by the Yemeni Corporate Sports Federation under the auspices of the Youth and Sports Ministry and the support of Yemen Mobile.
CAC Bank advanced to the semifinals after beating Yemen and Kuwait Bank by four goals without reply in the first match of the quarterfinals, which took place on Wednesday evening at the Recreational Club Stadium in the capital, Sana'a.
Ali Yahya Al-Matri (2 goals, D2, D16), Saleh Omar Al-Ruqeei (D7), and Ahmed Awad Mutash (D25) scored for CAC bank.
In the second quarterfinal match of the day, the Bank of Bahrain secured the second ticket to the semifinals after defeating Oil and Minerals Ministry by three goals to one.
Amin Ahmed Al Sabahi (D14, D19), Khalid Abdulwahab Al Ward (D16), and Yahya Mohammed Al Muzhani (D37) scored the only goal for the Ministry of Oil and Minerals.
The quarterfinal matches will conclude tomorrow, Thursday, with the other two semifinalists, when the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the first team of Group III, will meet the second team of Telecom 1, the second team of Group IV, in the first of tomorrow's two matches, while in the second match, Tadamon Bank, the first team of Group IV, and Yemen International Bank, the second team of Group III, will meet in the second match.
