Sana'a governor Abdulbasit al-Hadi and Head of the Medical Council Dr. Mujahid Measar on Thursday visited the 21st September University for Medical and Applied Sciences to review the fifth proficiency exam for 2024, which grants licenses to practice the medical profession.
During the visit, governor al-Hadi commended the efforts of the Medical Council leadership and the university's staff, emphasizing that the exams are a critical measure of the efficiency of medical and health professionals and the quality of education in Yemeni medical universities.
Dr. Measar reported that 2,953 medical and health professionals applied for the exam, which included 1,093 applicants with bachelor's degrees in various medical specialties and 1,086 with diplomas.
He stressed that passing the exam is a mark of competence and societal trust in medical professionals, given the crucial nature of the profession in preserving human life.
Dr. Measar also praised the smooth organization of the exams by the 21st September University, ensuring a calm and well-managed process.
