The researcher, Amal Faisal Ahmed Al-Houthi, obtained a master's degree with distinction from the Department of Radio and Television, Faculty of Mass Communication, Sana'a University, for her thesis tagged "The news treatment of Palestinian issues in satellite channels and their relationship to the formation of knowledge of the Yemeni public's attitudes towards ... A survey of content and audience."
The discussion and judging committee consisted of Dr. Ahmed Mutahar Oqbat - chairman and internal discussant from Sana'a University, Dr. Muhammad Abdulwahab Al-Faqih Kafi, the main supervisor of the thesis from Sana'a University - member, and Dr. Hassan Abdullah Dajra - member and external discussant from Hodeidah University.
The discussion was attended by the Deputy Minister of Information, Dr. Omar Ahmed Al-Bukhaiti, the Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Mass Communication for Graduate Studies and Academic Affairs, Dr. Hussein Jaghman, the heads of the Journalism and Electronic Publishing Departments, Dr. Ali Al-Ammar, and Public Relations and Advertising at the Faculty of Mass Communication, Dr. Abdul Rahim Al-Shauri, and several graduate students and colleagues of the researcher.
