Gold prices stabilized today, Monday, as investors await a series of US economic data scheduled to be released this week to seek indications of the Federal Reserve's (US central bank) position on interest rates.
Gold prices stabilized at $2639.56 per ounce, and US gold futures fell 0.1 percent to $2652 per ounce.
As for other precious metals, silver rose in spot transactions by 0.1 percent to $29.64 per ounce.. and platinum fell by 0.7 percent to $931.70 per ounce. Palladium fell 0.4 percent to $918.63 an ounce.
