A meeting held on Monday in the capital Sana'a brought together the leadership of the General Authority of Zakat and a team from the Republican Hospital Authority to discuss areas of collaboration.
The primary focus was on the project to support the Republican Hospital, which offers free medical services to the poor, with funding of 4.8 billion riyals from the Zakat Authority for the year.
During the meeting, Undersecretary of the Zakat Authority Ali al-Saqqaf emphasized the importance of supporting the hospital, which is a key health initiative for the state.
He underscored the need for improved medical performance and quality of services, particularly for the poor and needy, and stressed the importance of integrating oversight, automation, and electronic archiving systems to enhance hospital operations.
The meeting also included a presentation from the Republican Hospital Authority team, detailing the hospital’s operations, from patient admission and diagnosis to treatment and discharge procedures.
The discussion highlighted the critical role of cooperation between the Zakat Authority and the hospital to improve healthcare services for vulnerable populations.
