Sana'a-Saba:
A cultural awareness evening was held in the New Sana'a District, Sana'a Governorate on the occasion of the Eid of Rajab Friday, organized by the Prophet Akram Center affiliated with the educational centers of the late Sheikh Mohsen Abu Nishtan.
In the evening, the head of the General Authority for Zakat, Shamsan Abu Nishtan, stressed that celebrating this great occasion embodies the Yemeni people's attachment and adherence to their faith identity and the memory of their entry into Islam, calling for the revival of this great religious occasion to embody the true faith affiliation of believers, and to draw inspiration from the values and faith lessons that our ancestors, the supporters of the Seal of the Prophets, may God bless him and his family and grant them peace, followed since the beginning of Islam.
He pointed out that our Yemeni ancestors who believed in the Muhammadan message since its early beginnings, entered the religion of God in droves, pledged allegiance to the Messenger of God to hear and obey, carried the banner of Islam, and contributed to spreading it throughout the world.
He considered the Friday of Rajab a great occasion to enhance values and principles and to recall the virtues that Yemenis are accustomed to reviving through remembrance, glorification, supplication, visiting family and relatives, maintaining family ties, and gatherings of remembrance.
He called for the continuation of holding such events that fortify generations and root the faith identity in our society, especially in light of the persistent efforts of the infidel Western countries to obliterate the faith identity and corrupt Muslim societies.
Abu Nashtan touched on the woes experienced by the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, due to the brutal massacres and the genocidal war committed by the usurping Zionist entity with blatant American and Western participation and support, and shameful international collusion and silence and shameful Arab and Islamic humiliation.
He pointed out that the Yemenis are today fighting the battle of holy jihad against the enemies of the nation and the imams of disbelief and hypocrites who seek to humiliate the peoples and exploit their capabilities, calling on the people of Yemen to strengthen their adherence to the faith identity and the position of support for the Palestinian people and Islamic sanctities.
The evening was attended by the directors of the debtors in the authority, Judge Hafiz Allah Zayed, the in-kind zakat Nabil Al-Qarmani and the center, Muhammad Al-Daylami.
