Gaza - Saba:
The ground operations (military aggression) of the occupation army in the Gaza Strip "have reached the point of exhaustion", senior officials in the Zionist army on Tuesday warned, demanding the political leadership in "Tel Aviv" to "make difficult decisions".
This comes against the backdrop of indirect negotiations with Hamas in an attempt to reach a deal, according to the Zionist Channel 13, as senior officers aim to "prevent the kill of more soldiers" in light of the losses incurred by the army.
The channel quoted military officials as saying: "The ground operation has exhausted itself. In the absence of a deal, we will return to the same places".
The military officials explained that returning to the sites where the forces had previously operated in the Strip would cost a heavy price and would lead to the fall of more soldiers.
Earlier, in a blow by the resistance, a company commander, his deputy and a soldier were killed in battles seen by Beit Hanoun in the northern Gaza Strip, and thus the elite company in the 932nd Battalion lost its commanders in this incident, the commander and the deputy who were supposed to replace him in the event of his death.
The Zionist army radio said the first victim is Major Dvir Zion Riva, company commander in the 932nd Battalion of the Nahal Brigade. The second victim is Captain Eitan Yisrael Shkenazi, from the settlement of Eli in the West Bank, who is the company's deputy commander in the same battalion of the Nahal Brigade, and is one of the extremists of the Jewish religious schools in the West Bank settlements.
Thus, the announced death toll of the occupation army has risen to 826 officers and soldiers since the beginning of the Zionist genocide in the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023, including 392 since the beginning of the ground invasion of the Strip on October 27 of the same year.
While the number of wounded has reached 5,578 officers and soldiers, including 2,529 since the ground invasion of the Strip, according to the latest data published by the Zionist army on its official website on Monday evening.
According to eyewitnesses and local sources, the battles in the northern Gaza Strip have been very fierce for the 12th consecutive day. The operations are not limited to targeting occupation soldiers and vehicles, but missiles are still being launched from tanks towards settlements adjacent to the Strip.
