CAC Bank emerged victorious on Thursday in the thrilling final of the 8th Companies Championship for Seven-a-side Football, defeating Yemen International Bank in a penalty shootout.
The match, held at the Recreational Club Stadium, ended goalless after regular time, with CAC Bank ultimately prevailing 13-12 in the penalty shootout.
This marks the third championship title for CAC Bank in the history of the tournament.
The two-month tournament, organized by the Sports Federation of Companies and sponsored by Yemen Mobile, featured 20 teams from various institutions and companies.
Individual awards were also presented. Abdulmomen al-Haimi of Solidarity Bank was named the top scorer, while Mohammed al-Masouri of CAC Bank was awarded Best Goalkeeper. Yasser al-Amri of Yemen International Bank was recognized as the Best Player.
The event concluded with honors for the organizing committee and all those who contributed to the success of the tournament.
