Vatican - Saba:
Pope Francis II described on Thursday the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip as "shameful", in light of the Zionist war that has been going on for 15 months.
The Pope said in his annual speech to diplomats, which was delivered on his behalf by one of his assistants Thursday "We cannot accept children freezing to death, due to the destruction of hospitals or the bombing of the energy network," referring to the Zionist "army" destroying hospitals and depriving residents of fuel supplies, which led to the death of at least eight children due to the severe cold.
The Pope added "We cannot in any way accept the bombing of civilians."
Last month, the Pope commented on the Zionist raids on Gaza, saying "It is not a war but a brutality," noting that "the international community is now studying whether the attack on the Strip constitutes genocide of the Palestinians."
The Pope's criticism of the Zionist war on the Gaza Strip has recently increased, and his statements angered "Israel", which summoned the Vatican's ambassador to it.
Head of the Zionist entity's government Benjamin Netanyahu attacked the Pope of the Vatican, against the backdrop of his call to investigate "Israel's" commission of genocide in the Gaza Strip, describing his words as a "scandal".
The Zionist enemy forces continue their brutal aggression on the Gaza Strip on the 461st day, committing more massacres against civilians, in addition to destroying buildings and the health sector.
The Ministry of Health in Gaza announced that the death toll from the aggression has risen to 45,936 martyrs and 109,274 injuries since October 7, 2023, according to the latest statistics it published.
