Gaza - Saba:
The "Mercy Around the World" organization announced the arrival of 14 multinational doctors to the Gaza Strip, to provide assistance to the wounded and sick in the face of the genocide waged by the Zionist enemy, which has been ongoing for 15 months.
The head of the organization, Shadi Zaza, said in a press conference in Gaza last night that the health sector needs great support, and today we were able to bring in 12 surgeons and two doctors to support the people of the Strip.
"Zaza" added that the organization sought to send a humanitarian message and shed light on the tragic conditions that the population is suffering from, in light of a severe shortage of medicines and medical supplies.
He pointed out that "the doctors who came to Gaza are participating in a humanitarian mission aimed at alleviating the suffering."
The director of "Mercy Around the World" expressed his concern about the deterioration of the health and living conditions of the people as a result of the ongoing siege and genocide.
He explained that the Gaza Strip is facing the spread of epidemics and a famine that has caused the death of children from hunger and cold, stressing the "necessity of stopping the war and improving the living conditions of the Palestinians."
He continued, "The doctors came to help alleviate the suffering of the people of Gaza, in a message of solidarity with the weak."
"Zaza" called for "the necessity of bringing medicines and medical supplies into the Strip, noting that without these supplies, doctors cannot provide the necessary services to treat the wounded and sick."
Hospitals in Gaza are facing a shortage of fuel needed to operate generators due to power outages, in addition to a shortage of medicines and medical supplies due to the lack of sufficient aid.
"Mercy Around the World" was established in the US state of Michigan in 2014, and works in the field of relief and development in various parts of the world, including the Gaza Strip.
Since the start of the war of extermination on October 7, 2023, the Israeli occupation has targeted the health sector in Gaza, bombed and besieged hospitals, threatened to evacuate them, and prevented the entry of medical supplies, especially in the northern areas of the Strip, which it invaded again on October 5. With American support, the Israeli extermination in Gaza resulted in more than 155,000 Palestinian martyrs and wounded, most of them children and women, and more than 11,000 missing, amid massive destruction and famine that killed dozens of children and elderly people, in one of the worst humanitarian disasters in the world.
