The Iraqi Minister of Health, Saleh al-Hasnawi, decided to treat Palestinian refugees as Iraqi citizens in paying fees in health institutions.
The Palestinian Ambassador to Iraq, Ahmed al-Ruwaidi, praised this step, noting that many issues are also being followed up with various Iraqi departments related to the conditions of Palestinian refugees, after a letter was delivered explaining all the requirements for their residency and improving their legal status.
